LeaveOutAlltheRest收录于LinkinPark第三张录音室专辑MinutestoMidnight中，并在2008年7月15日以单曲形式发售。这首歌同时也是同名小说改编的暮光之城系列电影第一部Twilight（原著译名：暮光之城：暮色，电影译名：暮光之城•无惧的爱）的片尾曲。
从专辑MinutestoMidnight开始，LinkinPark就开始尝试曲风的转变。他们逐渐摒弃了重金属元素浓厚的，似乎充满着愤懑和怒吼的曲风，而更多地在摇滚中加入了流行音乐的元素。而这首LeaveOutAlltheRest也不例外，甚至可以说是这种转变的典型代表。
这似乎也与这首歌的名字有这某种呼应。LeaveOutAlltheRest，其他都抛到脑后。领队MikeShinoda（麦克•信田）和主唱ChesterBennington（查斯特•贝宁顿）也曾在之前接受的采访中表示：“这首歌代表着我们乐队的改变，可以说是向从前的我们告别。
